Requesting Alternative Testing Arrangements due to a Disability
Please note that all sites are wheelchair accessible and the font size is adjustable on all screens. In addition, all candidates are permitted to take breaks to use the restroom, take medication, use an inhaler, etc., without prior approval. Any time taken for these breaks is considered part of the candidate's available testing time.
The following alternative testing arrangements may be requested because of a disability (e.g., visual impairment, hearing impairment, motor disability, illness, injury) and can be accommodated at most test sites:
- Allowance of a medical device in the testing room
- Permission to bring and use a pillow or cushion
- Permission to bring and use earplugs
To request any of the alternative testing arrangements listed above, you must submit a completed Alternative Testing Arrangements Request Form for CASA IBT indicating the nature of and reason for the request, before you schedule your test appointment.
If you wish to request arrangements other than those listed above, you must:
- complete your test registration; and
- submit a completed Alternative Testing Arrangements Request Form identifying the disability and the specific arrangements requested; and
- submit one of the following:
- Appropriate documentation, as described in "Required Documentation"
OR, if applicable
- An Institutional Verification of Documentation, printed on official institution letterhead (see "Institutional Verification of Documentation" for information)
